so slowed down to let Doobs catch so we would have some one to race, but slowed too much on the straight and Doobs blasted by not to be seen again.

lol, sorry Able... If I had known...............................it probably wouldn't have made any difference, I still would have tried to blast by, I make too many mistakes not to take advantage. :)

Race 1 was awesome, and then I made a stupid mistake on the last lap and lost a handful of spots.

Race 2 was good.

Race 3 kinda sucked.

Overall it was a lot of fun driving these cars.

63
Put me in please Wally, I voted, I'd better race.  :)

So far I'm looking at a choice between Escorts and GPL 67 historic F1s.
My vote is yes. 8)

Low tech open wheeler with wings, or '67 mod, although I'm enjoying my sabbatical.
Maybe if I plug the rig in I'll want to race again.

AH SHEIT!!!

I forgot it was Tuesday, sorry. After having a few weeks off I forgot what day it was.

Thanks for the season Wally and drivers.

I'm pretty sure my video card shat itself last night and needs to be RMAd. The screen locked up and went multicoloured, and when I rebooted, Windows no longer recognised the card because it reported an error. I updated drivers with a clean install, downgraded drivers, reseated the card, but it would no longer be recognised by Windows. So I've chucked my 980 back in for now.

I'll get the results up tonight.

Well the only thing to do is replace it. I suggest...........https://www.pccasegear.com/products/45097/inno3d-geforce-rtx-2080-ti-ichill-black-11gb
The dead card is a Gigabyte 2080 which is only about a month old.

So that was the likely cause of your issues Wally?

I'm MIA for this one too, on holidays in another State.
Have fun.

Yeah I think it is quite common particularly if the ram modules are not on the motherboard qvl list.

Mine were. It was a pain in the arse because I'd changed my mobo-CPU-Ram and didn't reinstall windows and so suspected it was that because it had run fine for a couple of weeks and didn't start playing up after a windows update....I re-installed windows, and still had the problem till I realised it could be the ram.
Turns out it wasn't the ram, but the XMP. I'm pretty sure I've got it manually set to the same speed, timings and voltage as the XMP but now it's stable....go figure.

I hope it's fixed for you buellersdo, crashes are a pain in the arse.

70
I had random crashes and blue screen issues a couple of months ago.
Mine were fixed by not using XMP ram setting and manually configuring it.
I can't remember if it was a common thing with a chipset, or gigabyte with a certain chipset.

Hm...yet another track where the short tail will be schooled on the straight, and no way to take the position back later.  Not complaining, just stating the facts ;)

I've managed a decent low 37 but I'm burning up the rears after a lap or two...:/
The last bit was always a weak part for me on this layout, I reckon in the proper hands the shorty could do a 36 no probs.  I just can't get the last 3 corners done properly, especially the 3rd last, I keep losing grip there (as usual for me).
You're only 0.15 off of Kcender's C9 time!

Might be time to start adding ballast back to the Shorty!!

...and an extra manadatory pit stop to the c9 to even the pit times out :D

No, I reckon even as it is, it's a penalty that you have to try and get past on the twisties, not comfortably on the straight.  The pit stop & fuel usage is an added burden, still.
The Shorty has barely been in the top 10 all season . . . so not sure why we keep talking about penalising it!   Practice server lap times are not at all reflective of the racing reality.

Yup, especially when you refuel the fecking things

Spend quite a number of laps behind you before managing to lap you Doobs, during that time your pace did not look too bad! Can only assume you lost a lot of time somewhere earlier in the race.

Thanks, I had decent pace if I managed to do a whole lap. Screwed my car in the first couple of laps and lost 20 -30 seconds just tooling around. It was all a blur......mainly because my windscreen was shot from lap two till when I pitted.  LOL

73
Worst feeling car I've had in weeks and I couldn't get any consistency at all.
Did my usual half spin and damage the car early so I had to peek through a broken windscreen for the first half of the race. That didn't help.
After that, it all went pretty much the way it had all week and I did the odd good lap, (not great), but couldn't drive consistently enough to catch anyone.
I don't know where I finished, all I know is it was disappointing.

74
Another wasted race for me.

Three spins coming off slow corners early and I lost a lot of time. I got stuck behind people and couldn't manufacture a pass because I was faster through the twisty stuff and not fast enough off the slow corners to stay with them on the straights. It was a bit frustrating but if I hadn't made mistakes I wouldn't have been in that position.

Good racing though.

So, single make series from now on Wally?
