I was happy with my qual position and was sitting in 4th place during the first part of the race, for a while, slowly losing sight of the cars ahead, then I pitted and the race had completely changed I was now 7th I think ,first I was caught by Seanus and then Phil and was waiting for the next alien to turn up, then on lap 19 I disconnected from the server, race over. Still enjoyable while it lasted, congrats to Wally on the win, your stats say it all 0 crashes, 0 contacts. So spent qualifing trying to decide 908 or GT40. Settled on the ford as it seemed ok with the default settings. The porsche felt like it needed a fair amout of tweaking.Spent most of the race driving around the infield utill finially breaking my shifter on the last lap and having to complete most of it stuck in first gear to finish last of coarse. Awesome. Glad I spent that time setting up the F40. Phil do we need to register, what car all drivers want, and allocate number of cars on server accordingly? I thought a three way split would have been sufficient, obviously not. Didn't think we were meant to be swapping cars? First 10 laps were great putting in pb's and pulling away from phil which is always an achievement. After traffic around lap 10 phil was fairly close and i saw him saw him pit behind me so i put my foot down to try and avoid an undercut to pit next lap. Was only as i was steaming down the final straight that i realised i was 100% sure where the pit entry started. By then i was carrying too mich speed and it was too late putting the car into a spin. When i finally got into the pits mael was in the pit box behind mine and not being able to see properly i missed my box. By that time the whole field had gone past again. Managed to make up a few more spots but could have been better. Pitted while I was in the lead and came out 3rd (I think) but narrowly ahead of about 5 cars, but the new tyres kept me ahead .Good racing again. « Last Edit: February 03, 2017, 03:24:50 PM by gawaterman » Logged bradc RestrictedRacing Sr. Member Posts: 395 Karma: 8 Re: S7 R4 -Silverstone International - 02-02-2017 « Reply #44 on: February 04, 2017, 08:52:37 PM » Quote from: Shameless_1 on February 02, 2017, 10:23:55 PMThe session details shows several people did not pit?Don't believe everything you read.
