Race 1 spun off on the chicane forgetting the track grip wouldn't be as good as qually, rejoined the straight but then had a couple of cars bearing down on me fast into the last turn so kept left but got hit from behind by Bacchulum I think? He was nice enough to redress, but it was partly my fault as I think I braked a bit early. Was behind bafs for a while after that and got past him when he went wide, then in last couple of laps I caught up with Chris. I couldn't quite get past him but finished right on his tail.

Race 2 was awesome fun! Managed to miss the crash at turn 3 then spent the the first 5 laps in a Ferrari sandwich with Grubbet infront and bafs behind, then Rob and Wally behind that. I was all over the back of Grubbet, then would get on his inside through the final turn, but then he'd pull away on the straight.  This happened for a few laps, but then, (at least from my replay) bafs warped into the back of me which pushed me off track. I was damaged but didn't loose position, he unfortunately did loose a couple. Wally got past me and Rob a couple of laps later when I screwed the exit to last turn then Rob went deep into turn 1 and went off. I stayed behind Wally and Grubbet for a lap or two, Grubbet pitted and Wally pulled away a bit. I then pitted and myself and Wally came out pretty much together. He got just infront or Grubbet and Bafs and I slotted in behind. Next lap Rob came out of the pits just infront of me behind Bafs and Grubbet. He got past Grubbet, then on lap 16 Grubbet spun and I also got past.

Definitely the most fun race I've had with lots going on. Often I'm sat on my own...

Race 1 - sorry Jeremy for locking up at the end of the straight and T-boning you. I was hoping I'd miss you, but couldn't. After that, I couldn't close the gap to Phil.

Race 2 - got a punt in the first few corners, but fought back until I got to the end of a Grubbett, Bafs, Joe and Rob train. That was fun for a while, until Joe warped into Bafs, taking him out. Then I was chasing Rob until finally I was close enough after the last corner to get the slipstream past both him and Joe. Out of the corner of my eye, I could see that Rob was closing on the inside way to fast, so I went wide into T1, held back just a fraction of a second, and let the Rob bullet fly past into the sand. From there I chased Grubbet until he pitted. After my pitstop on lap 10, it was a lonely race, with no one else in sight, and big gaps to packs of cars in front and behind.

Damn was the warp def me? My ping has been solid recently and very low. Much lower than Stan's and no goats harmed.

I'm pretty sure. In my replay it looked like you jumped backwards. It's pretty much impossible to see yourself warping. If you ever see every other car jump at the same time, that's you warping.

Fun racing tonight guys.

Race 1 I made a meal of my qualy lap again, traffic second last lap so I slowed then had a crack and nearly drove off the road at t1 so fought back hard just to get a half reasonable time in. Start got so much wheelspin and from 2nd went backwards into 4th by exit of t1, then struggled badly early in the lafa was chasing Bird who was struggling about as much in the P1. He had an off then I had a bit of a gap to try make up to Stan and Matthew, I just had a full crack at it got back some time but ran out of laps.

Race 2, shame a few didnt start so I had a clean bit of track ahead of me off the line. The boys filled this pretty quick and it was 3 or 4 wide into t1 I ended up around 4th again after this turn but at least this time I gained spots rather then losing them. Was some fun racing with Jeremy and I unfortunately gave him a little tap on the rear that sent him loose then tap him in the front to straighten him up again.  ;D I dont think he lost any spots but I slowed a bit and Matthew and Stan got by. Then it was just some good close racing from then on, I had trouble passing anyone and after nearly going off the last turn I decided to pit in on lap 8 instead of 9 as I planned. I hoped I may get 1 or 2 laps in on fresh tyres to make up some ground on the guys ahead.

Next time by Phil pulled out of the pits just ahead but I snuck it by into 1 then next lap Jeremy was much in the same spot and I dived for the inside and made a spot. Car felt ok but then a few laps later tyres started to go off. I couldnt get much of a gain on Stan ahead and then saw Jeremy find some pace and start to get closer again in the rear. I just tried to run some quick clean laps to not give Jeremy much of a look and hope to get closer to Stan. Stayed in this place all race, well done to Matthew for the double win and he made some nice passes. He had the pace all nite and I couldnt quite match him but had some real fun racing with those around me.

Yeah I've seen that in the past but didn't see anyone warp today, just had the impact from behind all of a sudden. In my replay bafs warped jumping forwards, but I guess even if it was me, my replay would show it was him?

Great nights racing for me.
Qualified 9th which was ok and would put me in a good spot for R2.
R1 Close but clean in the early stages and I think I grabbed one spot and then came up on Christopher and Wally.  I chased hard for many laps and it wasn't until near the end that Christopher caught a kerb ( I nearly went with him in sympathy) and I was through. Wally was now to far ahead and that's how it finished.
R2 Started at the front thanks to a missing pole sitter.  Phil used his Ferrari power to out drag me to T1 however toward the end of the lap he ran wide and I was through.  At this point I had a 2 sec lead which I held to the first stop.  Came out still in front but now with Matthew closing.
After a couple of laps damn Ferrari power came into play again and I was helpless down the straight.  Standam challenged but I was able to withstand him and bring it home in 2nd, a great result.

It's hard to see your own warping in a replay. You'd see all the cars jump though, if you warped.

Race 1.
Race was going great and all according to plan until Lap1 T1 when I was taken out with too much damage to carry on.

Race 2.
Well done Wally on spotting my brain fade. I was trying to follow you under Grubbert and BAFs. We were off the racing line and I thought you were braking a bit early when I realized that I had completely missed my brake marker. I made the mistake of heading for the grass to avoid the inevitable, but of course as soon as I hit the green stuff I was a passenger. Well done mate.

Thanks to Grubbert and BAFs for making a really great race, was heaps of fun.

Sorry gents, for the early exit, I got mugello'd.
Pretty much every time this track does the same; 40 laps in praccy and qually w/o issues on the curbs, then during the 9 laps of race there's guaranteed to be a huge jump on one of them.
I just could not get myself to continue with the damaged car from the back.
Maybe I need a break.

Qualified really well. Was looking forward to hounding Wally for a few laps. Then...

Had huge game freeze in lap 2. Just ran straight into a wall. Car badly damaged. Drive back to pits. Repairs were going to take about 9 laps to complete. Went and watched TV.

AC 1.2 better be good....

There are allegedly kerb fixes in 1.2.

Top night of the racings for me, mucho enjoyed.
Race 1, close and consistent was the order of the day. Matthew out front, me holding onto 2nd and Marty hunting me down. Another lap or 2 and he would've got me on the straight but it was not to be!!  ;D
Race 2, I got the trifecta in Race 2!!! I got Hunter, Hunted and Busiest. At the end of the race, I realized I didn't even look at my tire wear the whole race, so focused on the racing around me.
As Marty said, Matthew pulled off some great passes and he thoroughly deserved the win in both races. I forced him to take the outside into turn 1 and he did so and got the pass done. Then he repeated the manoeuvre with Freezer for 1st spot which was great to watch as Freezer dived at him under brakes, good stuff. Then I was left to battle with Freezer for 2nd spot, I had one chance at turn 1 to pass him, but I went a bit too deep and had to abort.
Very entertaining nights racing   :P

No problem Wally, I wasn't complaining, not looking for blame, that's just motor racing (real or sim).

Is this worth doing? I hear you guys sometimes talking about tyre temps or wear over teamspeak, but I don't have any app enabled to give me this, or know what I'm really looking for.

The tyre wear doesnt do much for you as you can feel the grip go away. It can just reconfirm this but it can be usefull for practice to see when and if they fall off the cliff to choose strategy.

The tyre temps and live pressures are very handy when setting up the car. Its all good info but in a proper battle all I was really checking was what lap I was on how much fuel I had and how much I will need to finish the race. A quick glance at tyre temps and wear when I was running out of pace. But also seeing how the tyre wear went over a dew laps I knew others around me would get it the same number of laps after they pitted.

I use dashmeter pro on my phone mounted above my wheel. This has most of the info I need, it actually has a bit too much atm as I played around with the setup.

Its a payed app for around $10 though, very handy with shift lights, gear indicator, lap times, lap number, tyre wear/temps/pressure, fuel use/remaining/per lap, delta time all easily seen.

Yeah I think they can be important, but they weren't too important for me at Mugello. This was because I didn't have a huge amount of choice in the stints, it was basically close to the middle of the race for the pit because of the fuel needed. But if I was doing a short stint then a long stint on a track that wears the tyres heavily, then it's good to know when they are down to say 95 wear so that you can adjust you're braking points and corner speed to compensate for the lower grip levels.  :P

Race 1: had a good start but ended up hitting a warping car in turn 1. When I rejoined, I stupidly collected Rob since there was nothing visible in my mirrors. Sorry about that.

Race 2: Had another good start and ran out of talent no lap 1. I spent the majority of the race swapping positions with imperious and it seemed neither of us wanted to be in front when we repeatedly ran wide and allowed the other through.

I'll be happy to see the back of these cars as I have not come to grips with either of them at all and the limited setup options means we have to drive around the "characteristics" of the cars. Looking forward to getting something I can setup to my liking a little more. That being said, it's still a good way to spend a Tuesday night.

I use mini apps HUD (or dash). It's got a lot of info on it.

Sorry Joe for the race one shunt. :(
I was just thinking too slow and reacting slower. :-[
I was like that the whole race so I knew I'd only be trouble in race two, hence the withdrawal. :(

Race 1

Started off well gaining a few positions then started to settle into a nice grove letting the people in front battle it out waiting to pounce on any mistakes. I was keeping wally in check for the most part until a late move sent me off the track and lost seconds to the leading pack which killed any chance of an attack. ( Its all good wally it we all make mistakes from time to time )

Race 2

Was cautious at the start knowing the reverse grid always throws something up on the opening lap but turns out i was a little to cautious and allowed stan to sneak up on the inside. Following the train for a few laps it was good fun! nice close pressure racing, I wasn't as confident with the car the longer the race went on and lost a place to matthew. Pit stops came around, Stan and Matthew ducked into the pits and I followed. They had a second or two lead as we all entered and that proved crucial as on exit I was overtaken by 2 cars. While those two skipped away I was deep in battle mode with marty the car got better and better and ended up doing a 46.0 which surprised me for the last few laps i was glued to marty's rear bumper but couldnt pass it was great racing even though I couldnt get the extra spot.

Finally I had a semi-decent weekend!! no weird accidents or glitches this time which has plagued my season hopefully I can end the season strong and have some sort of an impact on this championship.

For some reason this series didn't inspire me to try very much, and as a result was well down the order.
I think it's just that massively overpowered cars don't interest me too much.

After my 2nd off in race 2 last night I left and played Dirt Rally for an hour or so.

Looks lile next season will have a bit less speed and grip, so I'll keep an eye out for the announcement.
Thanks for the season Wally.

Sorry i was a mute last night my sister tampered with the mic lol

race1: Nailed a neat lap for pole and led into t1and had stan and marty behind me with good pace and just like mid america it was a good fast pressure race between us all the way to the line.

race2: Got a nice clean start and slotted in behind stan, marty and jeremy which was a cool little battle, a few times i thought i could get stan down the main straight with the ferraris hax v12 power but i couldnt get a good run out of the last turn and by the time i got to t1 it was all looking a bit messy so i sat back until marty and jeremy rubbed panels and then i managed to sneak past marty with stan but not jeremy. So i battled it out with jeremy going side by side down the front straight twice, the second time going my way so then i set sights on stan who built up a little gap. I soon caught up to him and then v12 hax power prevailed once again lol giving me a good run on the outside of t1 to take 2nd. I then started chipping away at freezers lead getting it down to 2 secs before the pitsops but after the stops i was right on his tail until that magic front straight again lol freezer managed a good dive into t1 to try and get me back but a little over and under move sealed the lead for me and from there i tried to get the gap out and manage the lead for a win :)

Good racing all round last night was good fun!
