Title: Steam refund
Post by: Bird on June 03, 2015, 10:04:22 AM
http://store.steampowered.com/steam_refunds

TLDR:
Steam is now offering refunds on games bought on their site, for a very reasonable period!
Applies to pre-releases too.

It was bloody time if you ask me :)

Damn good move, and it puts pressure on software companies to not release buggy games.

I think it'll be the end of pre-release traps, too.  I just wish I had this earlier - project cars, starForge...
Not big money, just annoying as hell :)

think i will get a refund for C.A.R.S. as well, thanks for the heads up

Edit, according to steam I no longer own the game, it's in my games list, it comes up as needing update but it has purchase tab next to it  :o

Edit 2, So I find out that I got a coupon to get a discount on a game I thought I already owned, no way am I ever doing a pre release thing again.

I wonder how they would prevent people from buying a game, finishing it, and then getting a refund.

Make a game that takes more than a couple of hours to finish :)

If you buy a game that can be finished under 2 hours, you should be entitled to a refund :D
