I started with full fuel and hards which enabled me to run 20 laps (the longest stint) and take the lead on lap 16 as others stopped. Came out from the stop in 6th and now with mediums was able to up the pace a bit and gradually worked my way up to 2nd as people stopped etc. Starting to think this was going to be a decent strategy. Did the second stop at lap 31 for more mediums but this time came out in 8th. Had pretty decent speed but after a near faultless race made a couple of minor slips when battling with Joe to get home in 8th.The 15 sec penalty from last week meant my battle with Joe was to no end anyway. I smacked the wall in an oversteer moment at the end of lap 1, damaging my aero to such an extent that I could only do 275 kph max, so I pitted for repairs. That threw out my entire pit strategy, as since I started with a full tank, I couldn't take on much fuel, so the race essentially turned into a 1 stopper after the early repair with wasted time refuelling and then ending on hards when I had intended to go mediums. I could only manage a lousy 1:33.160 in the race Logged “You can please some of the people all of the time, you can please all of the people some of the time, but you can’t please all of the people all of the time” Print Pages: 1 2 3 4 5 « previous next » Xtreme Gaming Network / Simulation Racing Leagues / Assetto Corsa / Australian Assetto Corsa League, Tuesday nights (Moderator: Wally) / S25R4: Los Angeles Times/Ford Grand Prix at Riverside Long
