Ive seen them range in price from around $40 - $80 for the cheaper ones and up to $250+ for the more expensive ones. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated. But your other comments sound logical. You don't want to record in some god-forsaken format (eg quicktime, or even worse; some proprietary one) Logged UBGrumpy Xtreme Team Newbie Posts: 45 Karma: 15 Re: Dash Cams « Reply #5 on: June 11, 2015, 04:15:13 PM » From what I have noticed most seem to record as AVI or MP4, still shots are JPEGS. Record time could be a factor and ease of use. Here's a face book group for dash cams Australia https://www.facebook.com/DashCamOwnersAustraliaThey have people asking the same sort of questions all the time might be useful.
