I don’t remember driving this track before and with no braking markers at the last and first corners it’s was quite tricky to work out where to turn in and stop. This place was packed with a series of challenging corners where by if you stuffed up the first one, the next two or three were corners felt like you were moments from disaster, this challenge in itself was terrific. I was shocked to steel the poles considering Freezers practice which was nearly a second faster than anything I could manage. The opening two races saw (for me) very busy opening laps until I could get tyre temp and find a groove. The reverse grid race was challenging as the four of us were nose to tail for several intense laps. Eventually I was able to find a way pass but I couldn’t shake Freezer. His MG was super quick where I wasn’t and it was only the longer legs of the Austin which kept me in front until he crashed out. Towards the end of the race Mael caught me and given a lap or two more, the result may have been very different as I think my tyres were done….Must admit I’m really regretting telling you about the diff ratios now Wally, you got that fastest lap in the 3rd race by 0.01s! Good on you Logged Wally Administrator Hero Member Posts: 11035 Karma: 152 AC Admin Re: S45R5 - Warwick Farm Raceway « Reply #10 on: February 01, 2023, 12:04:08 PM » I ended up not changing my gear ratios. I stuck with the shortest one. It was pleasing to keep getting quicker and quicker over the night - I was just getting more used to it. I really only got good results due to others making mistakes, but I didn't really make any serious mistakes myself.
