Hi All,

I don't know where to post this as my google-fu isn't coming up with anyone having a similar issue...

Some of my cars the sound of the engine is really low... I can sort of hear it, but it's too quiet compared to the other noises.

Where when I jump into save the Escort or bmw_m3_e30_dtm the Engine sound is fine...

I've deleted all sfx folders in AC - for the specific cars I have issues with and then the general sfx as well, then revalidated but the issue persists...

Thoughts would greatly be appreciated...

Note I did have a weird PC lock and had to hard reset to get back prior to noticing sound issue... but AC lives on my games SSD and I also ran a chkdsk on that too...

Is there maybe an in car engine volume setting somewhere? strange though for some cars it's fine and others (Audi R8, Lambo GT3 and Lotus 25) it's very very quiet...

Have you got some equaliser settings coming into play somewhere? Perhaps some cars' engines are higher or lower pitched, and equaliser settings are filtering out either the highs or the lows.

Wasn't an equaliser, but you pointed me in the right direction... my surround sound setting... I'd forgotten I'd played with that yesterday fixing my teamspeak mic issues...

rear was still working, just I don't have side speakers (only front rear), but I had to enable ghost sides to come out the rear and the sound returned...
