I've done a few laps in a couple cars, published the set (going by feel, not data) I used for each. Brake pressure reduced and finding the sweet spot for balance seems to help me a bit. I couldn't get much more out of the jag...
Hmm...looks like Wally and me should go alright there. Well, still think Mael and Joe will spoil this in the Nissan ;)

Love this track   :D

Looking for suggestions on which car to use here , is there a stand out car that has better braking than the rest ? Or tips on how to change the setup so the braking is better  ??
The Nissan's will be on top there too, but that's mostly because the fast guys have picked it. The Volvo brakes better than the Nissan imo. As I've raced this track before I know my setup already: default...just changing tire pressure and potentially gear ratio. I would think it's a good car for this track.

That was great fun...pretty wild rides in this Volvo. A high 2:16 was possible in qualy, but I messed up the last turn. However, Joe's time was too good for me...and Mael was in his own league anyway.
R1 went very well apart from this unfortunate contact with Joe, which screwed up his race. Crazy side-by-side action with Brad...awesome, but pretty scary through these tight corners. I thought his Jag made it through the twisty bits up the hill very well. The Nissan's were braking quite early I found, but had more speed on the straights.
Most of R2 went well too. The last two laps were messy though. Finally I really lost control and put the Volvo square across the track at the end of the Esses...not a good spot. Luckily enough Brad and AKG made it past me without causing carnage. The car was still somewhat ok so I kept going. Then a couple more little mistakes. I kept the distance to AKG, but had no chance closing in...so ended up on P6. Before qualy I would have thought that's a decent result I'd be very happy with. It's a long race and I'm not too surprised I made this mistake.
Setup-wise I can't really get this thing any better. I experimented with all sorts of things, but default works best for me. That's special for me...I usually change the setup's. I tried the wings on 0, which worked as well, but 1/1 got me pretty much the same top speed so I decided going for that.
Cheers

My Volvo times not looking so good now - 2.5 secs off the pace  :'(

Hmm...Wally, yeah, looks like we're going a bit slow. Even worse, I believe we're gonna be easy prey going up and down the hill, which...actually...isn't too much of a problem as our starts won't leave too many cars behind us anyway ;) I've done a few laps last night...it's great fun.

Was fun racing...very busy. A pity I threw a podium finish away in the last turn of race one.
The Volvo was good in the curvy bits, but pretty average on the long straight, so overtaking was hardly possible.
Cheers

Wow...wouldn't have thought that these 20 or so guys in the stadium can make so much noise ;)

Went onto the server a bit earlier in order to get used to the track. Dunno, I think I never really made it through turn 1 well...maybe a couple of times somewhat...rather by accident I guess.
Well, there was some contact with Bacchulum, which caused him to go off unfortunately...sorry, in case it was my fault...I really don't know and didn't watch the replay.
Otherwise some really good battles with Simone and Brad...great fun. Thanks

The races went well, apart from my stuff up in R1...sorry AKG and Simone. I was then waiting for you in order to redress, but went into reverse gear by accident, which screwed up AKG again...damn!!! Sorry about me being so stupid.
Was lucky at the end of R2. Could have done a very low 4.23...just screwed up one turn.
The starts were pathetic of course.

Looking at the practice server on Monday it was clear that this long straight would make the Volvo easy prey...lack of power in combination with an aero like a cabinet...doesn't work. Qualy was a bit disappointing...just didn't manage getting in a clean lap. However, starting a bit further up the grid would have made no difference for the race as the cars around would have caught me at the end of the straight anyway.
Racing on this track was still great fun...plenty of great close racing. I made a couple of small mistakes, which cost me positions as well, but overall it went well...no major dramas. My pit stop wasn't too good. Came in very close behind Brad in both races...a bit unlucky I found, but great racing.
Don't expect too much for the next race...
Cheers

There was a bit of a situation and a possible contact with a Nissan before the left hand turn at the inside. He was trying to pass on the outside, but then went off. I was aware of that and thought I left enough space there, but maybe I misjudged this situation. Sorry if it really was my fault (haven't watched the replay). Cheers
That was me...  I felt at the time like you squeezed me, but the replay shows I was moving around a little bit also.  All up it was only a small touch but it sent me flying across the grass  :'( :'( :'( :'(

All up the Nissan was pretty strong, can definitely hold its own in a straight line.  I ran off in turn 3 whilst looking at my guages and the bump with Killa, but aside from that I would have been a pretty strong first fun.
The bump on turn two was a problem that I kept having and couldn't really unleash the Nissan down that long straight but overall happy.  Bring on the long tracks :)
I see...strangely enough I didn't feel an impact at all. I moved slowly to the right intentionally in order to get the best possible line with you being on my right. The idea was leaving you enough space on the tarmac...then I just saw you flying off on my right screen...a pity it turned out like that.

Hmm, Wally has shown that you can move this Volvo around this track quite a bit faster, but I'm still pretty happy with how the races went. My starts weren't too bad. There was plenty of close racing...well, and I managed to keep the car on the track. Early in race 2 my crew chief told me I can do 17 laps. The problem was that I was under the assumption that I had fuel for 2 or 3 more laps on board for the first stint. So I started short shifting...more and more during the race...crossed the line with 0.5 litres left...phew...more luck than brains. Luckily enough I didn't lose too many positions. Wally made a daring pass, but resisting wouldn't have made too much sense...the 3 of us made it through this tight turn alright. Another Nissan passed me, but that was it...Phil came close towards the very end of the race.

So we're doing 15/31 laps, not 20min/40min races, right?!

Wally, I noticed last night that at least some of the group C cars are a lot more powerful than group a ones. When it comes to top speed the BMW 635 group C is restricted by its gear ratio on faster tracks. Other group c cars may have the same issue. Are you aware of that? If no, would you consider making changes to them? Just like to take that into the equation when deciding what car to pick.

I think you’ll find this only that Group C BMW that has the lower final drive but at most tracks it won’t be an issue. Even at Bathurst it was only running out of puff at the chase so I can’t see it being a handicap if you choose to race it, all other Grp.C cars are fine. Yes the Grp.C have more power but the Grp.A cars corner better so it’s all about compromise which is what multi car racing is all about

Thanks. Yeah, it's not easy to get your head around how all these cars may compete with each other in a race...should have done the fun runs.
Still strange that especially the group c BMW is so restricted by its gear ratio. That's easy to miss if you don't try it on multiple tracks.
The Toyota has a very high fuel consumption too, similar to the Volvo.
There are two more things I hope someone can help me out with. One, does the re-fueling process extend your pit stop a lot or is it just happening while the tires are getting changed? Two, it seems the Volvo gets off the line pretty slowly...does it lose positions to group c cars at the start?

Don't dare change the BMW power!!!
Longer gears would make this thing crazy fast on high speed tracks  ;)
