Sorry guys, was off the ball on this one, I'll accept a pay cut.
Phil reset the AWS instance on Tuesday which appears to have fixed the woes. As noted, it still has lasts weeks combo up.
As an interim measure I have thrown up a server with tonight's config - I suspect I will come along for a spectate :)

'Proper' server should now be up.

I found the problem, no shader patch installed. Had to read the racedepartment comments for the track to find this out.
It just simply refuses to load the car without it.

What a bummer :(. Mael probably had the same issue. Any particular reason you are not running CSP?

I was only slightly aware of its existence or even necessity until now.
If the video card is going to take a hit in frame rates I'll leave it unless I Have no choice.
My GTX1070 is getting a bit old now and there is no way I will pay the current extortion prices for a new card, which is a shame
as I would have bought a 3080 or 6800XT if the prices were reasonable.
If there is little frame rate hit, as in less than 5 fps then I'll give it a go.

There is normally no FPS hit, in fact an increase is normal :). However do not start clicking on options unnecessarily. I nearly forgot to mention the huge increase in the quality of the graphics :o :o :o 8) 8) 8).

I had an FPS hit with Grass FX, so steer clear of that.
But as Roo says, most settings have optimizations, so they can improve FPS.
